The shop owner was also arrested. The intelligence network of the West Garo Hills police had indicated that certain fundamentalist groups were planning to distribute posters and calendars depicting bin Laden as a ‘warrior’ fighting for the cause of Islam. The posters and calendars numbering 10 had a picture of bin Laden and were written in Bengali. Most of the words in the calendars called upon the Muslims of the world to take up arms and fight for the Taliban and bin Laden in Afghanistan. Police suspect that the calendars originated in Bangladesh.
