Kanglaonline reports that, Security Forces (SFs) recovered three 12 bore rifles and one carbine from Karangpat of Bishnupur District on September 1. While the UNLF militants were identified as Lian Khosiam alias Siam Boi, Promolin alias Papao, N. Gul Khochon alias Ngamsei and Soubam Somen alias Ningaidaba of Heinoulok, the KYKL and NSCN-K militants were identified as Laisram Akang Singh alias Abungcha and Digai alias David respectively. One .303 Rifle along with a Magazine, three.9mm pistol including with its magazines, 2 Chinese made hand grenade, one Radio set and 15 live ammunitions were recovered from them.

The dozers were being used in the construction works of Imphal-Kasom Khullen Road taken up by State Public Works Department. According to the labourers, three heavily armed persons came to their temporary house asking for the manager. However, the manager was not present at that time. The labourers further stated that the miscreants fired several rounds when they saw some villagers approaching to save the burning dozers.

SFs arrested four militants of Lalheiba faction of Kangleipak Communist Party - Military Council (KCP-MC) from different parts of the Lamlai sub-division in Imphal East District. The arrested militants are identified as one Amuthoi Meitei (34), Mayanglambam Sobita Devi (46), Ngangom Robin alias Inao Singh (50), and Thongratabam Ibomcha Sharma alias Agya (50). Amuthoi was arrested on September 4 while the other three were arrested on September 5. They were involved in extortion from general public, harbouring of KCP cadres and transportation of arms and ammunition.
