Bhandariya Police arrested a hardcore Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre allegedly involved in planting landmines to blow up Police vehicles, from Parswar village under Bhandariya Police Station limits in Garhwa District of Jharkhand on September 26, reports The Pioneer. Maoist Angad Turi hailing from Parswar village under Bhandariya Police Station of the district was absconding for the past 14 years, and was involved in planting landmines to blow up the Police vehicle and robbing weapons of Police on Bhandariya - Bargarh road near Shalo forest on May 6, 2007. Police had registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Angad and others including his associates under sections of 307, 353,341,120B, 3/4 Explosive Substances Act and 17 Criminal Law (CL) Act. Garhwa Superintendent of Police (SP), Anjani Kumar Jha said, a Police team led by thana in-charge Laxmikant raided a house on Sunday (September 26) and arrested him.
