Security Forces (SFs) arrested a wanted Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, identified as Talo Di aka Sonam Marandi, a ‘section commander’ wanted in dozens of Naxal [Left Wing Extremism, LWE]-related cases, from Gobardaha village under Chanan Police Station limits in Lakhisarai District of Bihar on June 9, reports timesxphindi.indiatimes.com. Sonam has 10 Naxalite cases registered against her in Munger, Jamui, and Lakhisarai Districts, including encounters with the Police in the Piri Bazar Police Station area, setting fire to a truck for ‘levy’ (extortion money) in Gangatia Ghat under the Chanan Police Station area, and killing a JCB driver. She has been actively working in the Maoist organization since 2015.
