Two arms suppliers of Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC/TPC), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India (CPI-Maoist), identified as Ajmeri Khan and Satyendra Kumar, arrested by a special team of District Police in Jolbigaha village under Pratappur Block (administrative division) in Chatra District of Jharkhand on June 7, reports The Times of India. Ajmeri is a resident of Jolbigaha village whereas Satyendra is a native of Gaya District in Bihar. The duo were the members of an interstate arms supplier gang, Lalu Khan gang, supplying arms to a CPI-Maoist. Several cases were pending against the duo in Pratappur and Dhobhi Police Stations. The Chatra Police recovered a country-made carbine and three bullets and three mobiles from their possession, said Chatra, Superintendent of Police (SP), Rakesh Ranjan.
Meanwhile, during three separate joint search operations in Chapal, Jurni and Guni villages under Serendag Police Station limits in Lohardaga District of Jharkhand, the troopers of 158 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), recovered a huge cache of ammunition on June 7, reports The Print. The seized ammunition includes six Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) of two Kilogram each, two bundle wires, 40 pieces of M-Seal packets and 421 rounds of live cartridges, said CRPF official.
