On November 28, two civilians identified as village headman Chopkhu Gangsa and village chief Chijgsan Wangham were abducted by around 15 suspected militants belonging to Ang Mai faction of Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) at Chop Village in Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh, India TodayNE reports on December 4. Police revealed that the motive behind the abduction, was the duo's failure to pay a levy of INR 50,000 imposed by the militant outfit.
