The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) reportedly hoisted banners and posters along the Sonua-Lonjo main road and Banskata under the Sonua Police Station area in West Singhbhum District of Jharkhand on December 3, reports The Avenue Mail. The banners and posters, strategically placed at various locations, carry messages related to the 23rd anniversary of the ‘People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA)’, slated for celebration from December 2 to 8. The Maoists have explicitly stated their agenda, emphasizing recruitment drives, support base expansion, and the fortification of the PLGA and Revolutionary People’s Committee. One of the banners issued a direct warning, stating that as long as the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Forward Operating Base (FOB) camp remains in the Kolhan forest area, the Maoists will continue to pose a threat. The call to intensify the movement against public resistance and the alleged unjust war imposed on the tribal people of Kolhan by paramilitary and police forces are also highlighted.
