Security Forces (SFs) gunned down seven Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Tirah area of Khyber District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 1, reports ARY News. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said SFs conducted an IBO on the reported presence of terrorists in the Tirah area and killed seven terrorists including two wanted terrorists. The wanted terrorists were identified as Najeeb alias Abdur Rehman and Ashfaq alias Muavia, the statement read. “The killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from killed terrorists,” the ISPR added.
Two terrorists were gunned down during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 1, reports ARY News. “Sanitisation of the areas is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
A traffic Policeman, identified as Muhammad Tahir, was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Kabootar Chowk on Ring Road in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on July 1, reports ARY News. According to Police, Muhammad Tahir was targeted when he was returning to his home after ending his duty.
