Security Forces (SFs) killed a ‘zonal commander’ of Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Buddheshwar Oraon (46), during an encounter in a forest near Kochagani village under Kurumgarh Police Station limits in Gumla District of Jharkhand on July 15, reports The Times of India. Oraon, a resident of Pakartoli village under the sadar Police Station limits, was a member of the ‘Bihar-Jharkhand regional committee’ of CPI-Maoist and carried a cash reward of INR 1.5 million.The SFs also recovered an AK 47 rifle and bullets from the encounter spot.
