At the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM)s of the eight countries constituting the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on July 14, the grouping called for an end to violence in Afghanistan against civilians, reports Tolo News. SCO FMs also urged the Afghan Government to strengthen its position for the sake of stability and called for a purely peaceful settlement. The call was made in a meeting of FMs in Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe on the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan.
