Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement issued on July 8 said that 390 Taliban militants were killed and 150 others were injured in clashes and counter-attacks by security and defense forces in 15 provinces over the past 24 hours, reports Bakhtar News Agency. According to the statement, large quantities of weapons and ammunition were destroyed in these clashes and 18 rounds of various types of mines which were moved by the Taliban in different parts of the country to target civilians and Security Forces (SFs), were discovered and defused. Laghman, Logar, Paktika, Ghazni, Kandahar, Farah, Ghor, Badghis, Balkh, Samangan, Helmand, Nimroz, Badakhshan, Kunduz and Kabul were the provinces that have been the scene of clashes between the Taliban and Government Forces for the past 24 hours.
