Ambassador Bahadur Aminian further said that Tehran might persuade other countries to recognize the Afghan government if the Islamic Emirate brings reforms to its government structure. “If a group comes (to power) and the group is (comprised) of a single ethnic group and all other ethnic groups are not included in the government, we don’t accept it, and, therefore, we benevolently call on the Taliban rulers to form an inclusive government,” Bahadur Aminian said.

When my sister wanted to avoid this issue, they wounded her. She went into a coma, and now she is hospitalized,” Seddiqullah Mohammadi brother of Shafiqullah Mohammadi claimed.

On January 3, the Taliban forces clashed with Turkmen border forces when they went to the border of Khamab district of Jowzjan Province, reports Hasht-e-Subh. “Three days ago, the Turkmen border guards had killed one civilian and beaten another,” said Helal Balkhi, acting head of the Taliban Information and Culture Department in Jowzjan province. According to him, the Taliban forces faced a military response from the Turkmen border forces when they went to the border of Khamab district to check the security situation this morning. “The Taliban forces fired back in response to an attack by Turkmen border guards,” said Balkhi. The details of the incident are not yet clear and no casualties have been reported.

The statement reflected the joint view of the Representatives of Norway, France, the United Kingdom (UK), Italy, Germany and the United States (US) as well as the European Union (EU). The Acting Minister and Chief of Army Staff recently visited the northern provinces of Balkh, Faryab and Jawzjan with an intention to assess the security situation. Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid said, “If an individual in the east or west, anyone, anywhere… anyone belonging to any (ethnic group) stands against the government, he is our opponent and we will consider him our opponent”. There are some groups trying to create insecurity in the country, Mullah Yaqoob said, without naming them. “If anyone, who belongs to any ethnic group, or any zone or any province, seeks to divide the country, he is our enemy, he is the enemy of our country,” he said.
