A wanted cadre of the Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), was arrested from Latehar District of Jharkhand on December 8, reports ibc24.in. According to the Police, on the basis of intelligence, the Police raided Patratoli Forest near Nindir village and arrested a 30-year-old Naxalite named Raju Yadav alias Raju Ji. The Police said that Yadav, a resident of Chetar village of Chandwa area of the district, was the self-styled 'area commander' of the banned outfit and was wanted in nine criminal cases. A .303 rifle, 82 cartridges, two mobile phones and three SIM cards were also seized from his possession, the Police said in a statement.
A Police team constituted by the Superintendent of Police (SP), Manoj Ratan Chauthe recovered a 303-loaded rifle, on the information of arrested Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) Binod Munda aka Chandan, from Lajidam Forest area under Keredari Police Station limits in Hazaribagh District of Jharkhand on December 8, reports lagatar24.com. Contact and Control Room (CCR), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Arif Ekram, confirmed the recovery, and said Munda, a resident of Buchhadih village in Keredari lodged in Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Central Jail was taken on remand. He was interrogated and he informed that a rifle was kept in the Lajidam Forest area of Keredari for the purpose of harming the police team during military action and camp in the forest. SP, Chauthe formed a team which raided the forest and recovered the loaded rifle. Munda told us that this rifle is of Raghunath Hembrom aka Chanchal Veersen, who is a member of the ‘special area committee, SAC’ of Maoist. DSP, Ekram said this rifle was wrapped in black-coloured plastic and kept under the soil. “We dug the soil near a tree to take out this rifle,” he added.
The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) have pasted posters in Patthar Katwa, Lahiya, Palamu, Sarubeda and Harladih within the jurisdiction of Pannk Narayanpur Police Station area in Bokaro District of Jharkhand on December 5, reports The Pioneer. Following information, Police reached the spot and removed the posters. On the posters of the CPI-Maoist, an appeal to young men and women to join the Peoples Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), the armed wing of the CPI-Maoist, as well as hundreds of salutations to ‘Comrade CM’ and ‘Comrade KC’ have been written. Apart from this, an appeal has been made to expose all the anti-people policies of the looters, brokers, ruling classes and prepare a huge mass movement against it. It is believed that the Maoists have pasted these posters in various areas on December 5 night, as the Maoists are celebrating the ‘PLGA Week' from December 2 to December 8.
On the orders of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on December 8, the district administration has sealed the land of wanted Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) ‘area commander’ Lajim Ansari with a reward of INR 200,000 on his head, in Gumla District of Jharkhand, reports jagran.com. Police also said that apart from Gumla District, several serious cases related to extremist activities have been registered against Maoist Lajim in Lohardaga, Latehar and many other Police Station areas. The administration has sealed his land and put-up information boards in Gumla's two villages, Luto and Panso. After the action of sealing the land, Circle officer Kushalmay Kenneth Mundu also made an announcement in the village, and said that the order of the NIA court has been complied with. Now this land has become government property. It cannot be used.
