In a bid to curb Naxal [Left Wing Extremist, LWE] activities in residential area on the borders of neighbouring Chhattisgarh State, in three Naxal-affected Police Stations - Samnapur, Bajag and Karanjia in Dindori District of Madhya Pradesh, Special Squad will be formed and 30 local youths would be appointed under the same, reports The Hitavada on December 8. The District Police Force has invited applications from eligible youths for this Special Squad, and selected youths would be imparted special training and then they would be entrusted responsibility of Security, conveying of information and other security related works in the Naxal affected area of district. As these areas are remote and in dense forest area hence are far away from their respective Police Stations, and it is challenging for Police to patrol in this area. As a matter of fact, Naxalites after committing attacks in the Chhattisgarh State, runs to Dindori District remote forest area in search for safe hide-out. When local youths would be included in Special Squad then local Police would get help from the local youths in collecting information, better information of forest and hill terrains, better searching.
