The 196 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Battalion and Chhattisgarh Police arrested a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) ‘militia commander’ of RPC Galgam, identified as Kovasi Muiya, during a search operation in the forests of Ittaguda village under Usur Police Station limits in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on December 8, reports bhaiyajinews.com. Following information about the gathering of some Maoists, including the Maoist ‘militia commander’ the team of Security Forces (SFs) arrested Muiya from the forests of Ittaguda village.
In another operation, a contingent of Security Forces (SFs) recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) suspected to be planted by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) near Pamed Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Camp under Usur Police Station limits in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on December 8, reports bhaiyajinews.com. Troops of 151 CRPF Battalion and Chhattisgarh Police detected a 10 kilograms IED about 1.5 kilometres from Palmed CRPF Camp. The IED was destroyed on the spot following the security protocol, officials said.
