Two children were killed and three other children sustained injuries in an explosion in Timergara area of Lower Dir District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 11, reports The Khorasan Diary. It is pertinent to mention that this is the area where law enforcement recovered more than a dozen mortar shells and a bomb disposal squad (BDS) personnel had died defusing on February 5.
A top Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) leader Surat Gul alias Saifullah Peshawari was killed during an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Jabbar Mela area of Khyber District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 11, reports The Khorasan Diary. He was a top ISKP ‘commander’ of Nangarhar province of Afghanistan before the takeover of the Afghan Taliban. He was the primary planner of several attacks claimed by ISKP but primarily a string of target killings of Sikhs in Khyber District and Peshawar while escorting multinational ISKP affiliates from across the border to carry out suicide bombing.
A Security Forces (SFs) checkpost came under attack by militants in Malikhel area of Janikhel tehsil (revenue unit) in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on February 11, reports The Khorasan Diary. The attack which last for over 50 minutes was repulsed. There was no reports of damages or casualties.
