In different Police raids, a total of ten cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), including one who was found to be Covid positive, were arrested in Aurangabad District of Bihar, reports daijiworld.com on July 13. The arrested Maoists were identified as Manish Yadav, resident of Balora under Banshi Police Station in Arwal District, Kamlesh Yadav, Yogendra Yadav, resident of Padrahi under Rafiganj Police Station, Mahendra Yadav, resident of Dal Bigha under Pothu Police Station, Saryu Ram, resident of Banahi of Pothu Police Station, Devilal Yadav, resident of Ajan of Goh Police Station and others. The leader of this Maoist gang is Manish Yadav who was notorious for taking ‘levy’ (extortion money) from brick kilns in Arwal District to execute Maoist operations. Police recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from them. Meanwhile, a joint search operation of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Special Task Force (STF), and District Police has been conducting in Laduiya Mountains and Chakkar Bandha Forest of the Aurangabad District of Bihar since 12 July. So far, the joint team has seized 75 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), 274 IED series, 200 meters codex wire, 200 meters plastic pipe, 200 batteries, 200 pieces gelatin sticks, and food items.
