On June 30, two IRB (Indian Reserve Battalion) Jawan (troopers) along with a civilian were arrested for drug peddling at Pasighat of East Siang District in Arunachal Pradesh, reports Northeast Now. Both the troopers were attached to the 5th Battalion of the IRB, stationed at Pasighat. According to sources, 67.23 grams of heroin was recovered from them. The three have been handed over to the Pasighat Police Station for further action.
Earlier, on June 28, three drug peddlers were arrested from Dhobi Line in Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports arunachal 24.in. The trio arrested were identified as Soglat Mam, Lingdom Taram and a woman, Nginshing Sajung. Raw opium weighing approximately 201.57 gm and three mobile phones from recovered from their possession.
