Police arrested five persons for their alleged role in threatening social activists, political leaders, Government officers and journalists during multiple raids in Srinagar and Poonch Districts of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 17, reports Daily Exelsior. The five arrested people include secretary at SMC, Sofi Muhammad Akbar from Rajbagh, his daughter Nazish Yasrab Rehman and his son Tabish Akbar Rehman from Sanatnagar in Srinagar District, Peerzada Raqif Makhdoomi from Batpora in Hazratbal in Srinagar District and Javed Khalid from Poonch District. All the arrested were running a blog site kashmirfight.wordpress.com and whose task was to prepare a strategic hit list of Government officers, journalists, social activists, lawyers, political functionaries, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
