The Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants have attacked the house of Head Constable of Police Sajad Ahmad Malik at Verinag area in Anantnag District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India and fired indiscriminately on family members resulting in injuries to his wife Nahida, (38), and daughter Madiha, (16) on July 20, reports Daily Excelsior. Sajad was at home at the time of attack but escaped unhurt. JeM militant Mufti Altaf was identified as one of the militants involved in this attack, said Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
Security Forces (SFs) comprising of Police, Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have detected and recovered one Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing 30 kilograms near Tengpora Bund in Srinagar District of J&K in India on July 20, reports Daily Excelsior.

Militants fired on a Police vehicle in Saida Kadal area of Srinagar city under Rainawari Police Station limits in Srinagar District of J&K in India, reports Greater Kashmir on July 21. There was no loss of life or any injury and the area has been cordoned off to track down the attackers, said Police.
