Communist Party of India–Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres killed Aslam Ansari alias Guddu (30), a former deputy Sarpanch (head of the Panchayat, village level local self-Government institution) of Teliya Bahiyar Panchayat under Dumri Police Station limits in Giridih District of Jharkhand on May 31, reports livehindustan.com. Four Maoists killed Aslam accusing him as a Police informer. Four shells including live cartridges of Indian Small Arms System (INSAS) assault rifle and AK-47 rifle were recovered from the spot, said, Pirtand, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Manoj Kumar.
