At least 46 militants belonging to Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) including its ‘commander-in-chief’, Mushrang, surrendered during a ceremony at Khepre in Dima Hasao District of Assam on November 13, reports Northeast Now. The surrender ceremony was attended by Additional Director General of Assam Police (Special Branch) Hiren Nath, IGP Dipak Kedi, North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa, DNLA ‘chairman’ Edika Diphusa alias Kharmindao Dimasa and others. DNLA ‘chairman’ Edika Diphusa informed that further more cadres would come overground this month and they are hopeful that good news will come after the talks with the Assam government and the Centre.
