The Maoist Standing Committee meeting held in party headquarters at Paris Danda, Kathmandu, concluded that Nepali Congress (NC) and Communist party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) had agreed that the PM would resign within five days after the extension of the CA and therefore have cheated the nation without implementing the pact.

According to Nepal News, Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has said that the main obstruction for the implementation of the recent three-point deal was not Nepali Congress (NC) or Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML), but "foreign forces". According to Kantipuronline, cadres of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (Unified CPN-Maoist) ‘seized’ 50 sacks of chemical fertilizers in Basantapur market located on the border of Dhankuta and Tehrathum Districts. The party captured the fertilizers and chemical materials including Urea, DAP and Potash which were stored by local trader of Basantapur market, Chhetan Shah, said Maoist Basantapur Area In-charge Rabindra Pithakothe Magar. He accused trader Shah of black marketeering by bringing low quality chemical fertilizers from Biratnagar of Agriculture Materials Company Ltd and selling off them to farmers of Tehrathum, Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha in exorbitant price.
