On June 27, a Rohingya man, identified as Mohammad Salek was attacked with sharp weapons in different parts of his body, at a refugee camp in Ukhiya Upazila (Sub-District) of Cox’s Bazar District of Chittagong Division, reports bdnews24.com. Locals rescued Mohammad Salek and took him to the Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) Hospital in Kutupalong, where he was advised to be transferred to the District Sadar Hospital in Cox's Bazar due to his critical condition, but he died on the way.
On June 27, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three suspected Ansar al-Islam cadres, identified as Zakaria Mandal, Mohammad Niamat Ullah, Mohammad Ozair, in Chowfaldandi area of Cox's Bazar District of Chittagong Division, reports The Daily Star. RAB recovered ten extremist books, 29 leaflets, one diary, two madrasa identity cards, two national identification cards (NIDs), two mobile phones, and BDT 4,590 from their possession.
