In retaliatory action by Indian troops, a Pakistani soldier was killed and eight others suffered injuries across the border along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 27, reports Daily Excelsior. Pakistan troops had violated the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA) along the LoC in Mendhar and Mankote areas in Poonch District. Times of India adds that the Pakistani soldier was killed in Bhimber locality of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK).
Meanwhile, Pakistan Army yet again violated the CFA along the LoC in Degwar and Qasba sectors in Poonch District of J&K in India early on July 28 (today), reports Daily Excelsior. Defence spokesperson said that at about 1000 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with Small Arms and shelling with Mortars along LoC in Degwar and Qasba sectors in Poonch. “Indian Army is retaliating befittingly,” he added.
