Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal speaking at a press meet organised by Press Organisation Chitwan at Bharatpur airport on June 12 admitted that the Government had tabled bills, including Media Council Bill, in the Parliament without necessary preparation, reports The Himalayan Times. Noting that discussions were under way on the bills, including Media Council Bill, Dahal acknowledged that the bills had some flaws. “The party and the government have become cautious about flaws,” he said assuring that the government would bring the bills only after required preparations in the coming days. He opined that the Media Council Bill would be revised before it was endorsed by the Parliament. Dahal said the government would take a decision on the public notice published by the Federal Public Service Commission to hire civil servants for local levels after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli returned to the country. “Parliamentary State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has directed the government to scrap the public notice. We will settle the issue once the prime minister returns,” he added.
