On June 26, a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) couple surrendered in Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Telangana, reports United News of India. Madivi lduma alias Sunder, a Manuguru Local Organising Squad (LOC) ‘area command member’ (ACM), and his wife, Madakam Budri alias Sonia of Manuguru LOC Dalam (armed squad), surrendered due to harassment by Maoist Party leadership and fear of spread of Covid-19. Madivi Iduma, who had joined CPI-Maoist in 2018, was presently working as guard member to Azad, ‘state committee member’ (SCM) and Bhadradri Kothagudem ‘regional secretary’, while his wife was working as guard to Azad ‘SCM’ and Bhadradri Kothagudem ‘divisional secretary’. In press release, Police has appealed to all Maoist party leaders and members to surrender to ensure proper medical treatment and rehabilitation as per Government.
