A leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) and two activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were shot dead in Karachi on January 5, reported Daily Times. In one incident, the President of the ANP, Said Ahmed Khan, was killed and one of his associates, Bashir Ahmed, was wounded in an attack at his house in the Metroville area of SITE, while one of the assailants was shot dead by a Police Constable.
