Four suicide bombers attacked the District Police Officer’s (DPO) office in Dera Ismail Khan District on January 14, killing four people, reported Daily Times. “Three suicide bombers detonated themselves and one was shot dead by the army,” Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Akbar Hoti said. “We have recovered bodies of four militants, they were all wearing suicide vests,” he added. One Police official and three civilians were also killed in the operation. Eight persons, including one Policeman were wounded. No group or individual claimed responsibility for the killing, although Mukarram had moved to Shabqadar after receiving threats from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in his hometown Ghalanai of Mohmand Agency in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
