Senior leaders of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) on September 28 met with the European Union (EU) delegation and emphasized the need for Sri Lanka to repeal the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) which enables arbitrary detention without charge, reports Colombo Page. The five-member EU delegation arrived in the island on September 27 review the GSP plus trade concession. The TNA also pointed out the need to formulate new Constitution to resolve the Tamil National Question and updated the EU delegation on the land grab and other incursions on the rights of the Tamil People.
