Three top leaders of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) were killed in an encounter with the Police party of Greyhounds under the jurisdiction of the Peruru Police Station in Wazedu Mandal (administrative sub-division) in Mulugu District of Telangana early on October 25 (today), reports Telangana Today. Eturunagaram, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Gaush Alam said that they had been trying to identify the slain Maoists. Since the Police have recovered one Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) and two AK-47 guns from the slain Maoists, it is suspected that 'divisional committee member’ (DCM) cadre or above cadre Maoists suspected to be belonging to the military platoon led by Madvi Hidma alias Hidmalu alias Santhosh had been killed in the encounter.
