An alleged woman Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Mude Hidma Madavi, a member of the Kasansur Dalam (armed squad) of the Maoists, carrying INR 200,000 reward on her head has been arrested during an anti-Naxal [Left Wing Extremism, LWE] operation in Etapalli Taluka (administrative division) in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on August 4, reports The Print. The operation was carried out in the backdrop of ‘Maoist martyrs’ week’ observed in the district from July 28 to August 3, and during the exercise, a ‘nakabandi’ (road blockade) was set up and Madavi was arrested, said a release issued by the Gadchiroli, Superintendent of Police’s office.
