On June 6, National Investigation Agency (NIA) searched nine locations in Punjab, at the premises of Canada-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist and gangster Goldy Brar, in an extortion and firing case of January 2024 in Chandigarh, reports the NIA. The locations include Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), Patiala, Hoshiarpur, and Fateh Garh Sahib Districts of Punjab. During the search, NIA recovered incriminating material, including digital devices. The investigation reveals that the accused in this case are involved in providing arms and ammunition to members of terrorist gangs formed by Brar, as well as in the smuggling and sale of narcotics, and are continuously recruiting vulnerable youth into their gangs. Earlier, the local Police originally registered this case on January 20, 2024.
