The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) of the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh zonal committee, erected a banner on Wagh River bridge between Amgaon and Salekasa in the last week of March in Gondia District of Maharashtra, extending support to the State Government employees agitating for revival of the old pension scheme, reports The Times of India on April 4. There was also a detailed pamphlet issued by committee spokesperson Anant. The Maoists have condemned Chief Minister (CM) Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis-led government for passing the controversial Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act, against the interest of the dissenting government employees.
