One Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, identified as Kare Lal alias Pyare Lal Koda, carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh, was arrested in Lakhisarai District of Bihar, reports prabhatkhabar.com on February 1. Acting on information that Maoists are continuously trying to strengthen their position in this area and pressurizing the village people to join the party by threatening them, a raid was conducted, and Kare Lal was arrested. Kare Lal has been an active member of the East Bihar-North-East Jharkhand Special Area Committee. A total of 11 Naxal [Left Wing Extremism, LWE] cases are registered against him in various Police Stations of Lakhisarai District. A reward of INR 200,000 has been announced for Kare Lal by the Bihar government. He had been absconding for the last 10 years.
