Mangaluru Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) under the internal security department has started to work in the city as well as the limits of Commissionerate, dajiworld.com reports on June 13. The team has 35 Police personnel. The team undertook two months of training at Centre for Counter Terrorism (CCT) at Koodlu of Bengaluru (Karnataka). The team members gave guard of honour in the presence of city Police Commissioner N Shashikumar, DCPs Hariram Shankar, Dinesh Kumar, team leader Subramanya M and senior Police officials. The personnel are divided into two teams of 15 members each. Five additional staff will cover the leaves. The team will have separate uniform.
