The cadres of Baloch Liberation Tigers (BLT) attacked the house of a former Minister, Mir Kareem Nosherwani and Former Home Minister, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani in Kilan area of Kharan District on August 29, reports The Balochistan Post. Local officials confirmed the attack and said that no casualties were reported. BLT claimed responsibility for the attack in a press release. BLT’s spokesman Meeran Baloch said that the facilitators of Pakistan Army in Balochistan and the elements who provided assistance in killing and exploiting of Baloch land will never be reconciled. Such elements will always be on target of Baloch freedom fighters.
Meanwhile, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on August 29, claimed that their fighters attacked an Army checkpost with rockets and other automatic weaponry in Karmo Wadh area of Sibi District, reports The Balochistan Post. According to BLA ‘spokesman’ Jeeyand Baloch, “Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters attacked a Pakistani army check-post with rockets and other automatic weaponry in Karmo Wadh area of Sibi. A half an hour-long attack partially destroyed the enemy army check post, killing and wounding several occupying soldiers”.
Similarly, BLA claimed of attacking an Army checkpost at Kotri in Kahan area of Kohlu District on August 29, killing or injuring several soldiers, reports The Balochistan Post.
In another claim of attack, BLA ‘spokesman’ Jeeyand Baloch stated that, a patrol team of BLA Sarmachars (fighters) clashed with an Army patrol comprising six vehicles at Dilwani in the Zarghoon mountain range of Quetta. During the skirmish, Army received casualties and Baloch Sarmachars safely made it to their secure havens.” At the end of the statement Jeeyand Baloch vows, “BLA reiterates its commitment to continue attacks until the independent homeland is achieved.”
Separately, the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a militant hideout at Mukhi Nallah in Mawand area of Kohlu District on August 29, reports Daily Times. A cache of illegal weapons and munitions was found in a raid at a militant hideout, the local assistant commissioner said in a press briefing here. The recovered ammunitions included 12 Russian made anti-tank bombs, one light machine-gun (LMG), large quantity of cartridges, 82 Indian made mortar shells and other ammunition.
