The next hearing on the writ petition filed at Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for January 15 as the hearing on January 15 went short of time, reports Republica. The hearing being conducted on the constitutional bench witnessed the pleading for an extended full bench and constitutional bench. On behalf of the writ petitioners, senior advocates Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Harihar Dahal, Raman Kumar Shrestha, Hari Upreti, Dinesh Tripathi, Dr Chandra Kant Gyawali and Shambhu Thapa pleaded for the hearing of writ petition on extended full bench. Arguing that it would be difficult to deliver justice by the bench comprising five Justices alone, they demanded an extended full bench comprising 11 Justices for comprehensive hearing and verdict. A total of 14 writ petitions were registered at the apex court challenging the move of Prime Minister Oli to dissolve HoR.
