A joint patrolling team of the 165th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the 8th and 19th Battalions of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF), District Reserve Guard (DRG) and local Police arrested four Communist Party of India (CPI-Maoist) ‘militia’ (people’s army of the Maoists) members near the forests of Belnar village in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on May 28, reports The Pioneer. The arrested Maoists were identified as Lalu Ram Modiyam, Nehru Kunjam, Lalsai Kunjam and Jayman Veko. Three tiffin bombs, electric wire and batteries were recovered from them, said Bijapur, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Pankaj Shukla.
