A huge quantity of explosives, including five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) of about 25 kilograms, dumped by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres, were recovered during a combing operation by the personnel of Commando battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) 201 Battalion and District Reserve Guards (DRG), from under a tree in the forest area between Fulampad and Kistaram under Chintalnar Police Station limits in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh on June 25, reports bhaskar.com. The recovered IED, meant to target the Security Forces (SFs), was defused by the team of Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on the spot. The SFs also recovered daily use items, including walkie-talkie sets, electric detonators, camera flash, 12-volt battery electric wires, PVC boards, Maoist banner, Maoist literature, and explosives from the spot.
