The Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered three kilograms of heroin near Gattiyaru border outpost in the International Border (IB) in Fazilka District of Punjab on November 26, reports The Tribune. As per the sources, during a routine search, Jawans (personnel) of 52 Battalion of the BSF observed three suspicious packets lying in agricultural fields across the barbed wire fencing on the Indian side near the said border outpost. After examining the packets, three kilograms of contraband suspected to be heroin worth about INR 150 million in the international market was recovered. It is suspected that the consignment was thrown by the Pakistani smugglers into the Indian side.
