Personnel of the 73rd Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) recovered 1.550 kilograms contraband suspected to be heroin from the river Ravi in Gurdaspur sector along the International Border (IB) in Gurdaspur District of Punjab on November 28, reports United News of India. A Spokesperson of the Punjab Frontier Headquarters of the BSF said that the alert troops of the BSF saw some object floating in the river waters following which they fished out the substance that turned out to be a plastic bottle filled with heroin weighing 1.550 kilograms, value of which is said to be more than INR 75 million in the international market.
