Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) announced on X that on June 10, AFF targeted a Taliban checkpoint on Darulaman Palace Road in Kabul city, in which three Taliban fighters were killed and one Taliban was injured.
National Resistance Front (NRF) announced on X that on June 9, one Taliban fighter was killed and another wounded as NRF attacked Taliban in Gozara District of Herat Province. In this operation, a weapon belonging to Taliban also into the hands of NRF fighters.
On June 9, Taliban-controlled National Television reported that the 205 Al-Badr Corps' suicide squad in Kandahar province, led by their ‘chief of staff’, patrolled the border with Pakistan, reports afintl.com. The suicide unit inspected the weapons and personnel previously stationed along the border and provided recommendations to the officials there.

Female government employees and schoolteachers expressed grave concerns on June 10, over a new Taliban decree reducing their monthly salaries from 10,000 to 15,000 Afghanis (USD142 to USD213) to a uniform 5,000 Afghanis (USD71), reports amu.tv. They condemned the decision as an “unjust” and significant setback for women who are already facing stringent restrictions under the Taliban rule. The women warned that this drastic pay cut will lead to severe economic hardships, leaving their children hungry.
Taliban members in the security Districts discriminate against Persian speakers, Hasht-e Subh reports on June 10. Taliban fighters first scrutinise their language and accent, and then the charges against them. Human rights activists consider the discriminatory behaviour of Taliban security officials towards citizens as contrary to social principles and warn that targeting the language and culture of the people leads to social resentment and distrust among the ethnic groups in Afghanistan. Members of the Afghanistan Human Rights Activists Union also state that the Taliban have taken systematic steps to eliminate the Persian language in the country over the past three years.
On June 8, in a joint statement, China and Pakistan called for the establishment of an inclusive political structure and the fight against terrorism in Afghanistan, reports Hasht-e Subh. After the four-day visit of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to China, Islamabad and Beijing issued a statement emphasising the establishment of inclusive government in Afghanistan and the serious fight against terrorism by the Taliban. In a part of this statement, it is mentioned that terrorist groups should not organize terrorist attacks against other countries from the territory under Taliban rule. The two sides also condemned the attack on the convoy of Chinese engineers on March 26, 2024 in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province of Pakistan.
On June 10, three Rohingyas identified as Mohammad Ilias (31), Mohammad Ishaq (54), and Firoz Khan (18) were killed and seven others were injured at Block F of Camp 4 Extension in Ukhia upazila in Cox’s Bazar District (Chittagong Division) in a gunfight between terrorists belonging to Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), reports The Daily Star, Rohingya Khobor and Daily Bangladesh. Three of the injured were identified as Abdul Haque (32), Abdus Shukkur (55) and Abdul Monaf (60). The incident took place over establishing supremacy at the Rohingya refugee camp by ARSA and RSO.
On June 10, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-15) arrested a top leader of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) identified as Mohammad Shahidul Islam alias Maulvi Oli Akij and four other associates identified as Mohammad Faisal, Hafiz Fayzur Rahman, Mohammad Salam alias Master Salam andMohammad Jubair from in Rohingya Camp 4 in Ukhia in Cox’s Bazar District (Chittagong Division), reports Rohingya Khobor. During the operation, authorities recovered a foreign pistol, a locally made gun, a one-shooter gun, 10 rounds of cartridges, 2 kilograms of explosives, three-button mobile phones, and 2,500 BDT in cash.

Seventy booby traps, which were laid by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) targeting Police and Security Forces (SFs) in Pusuguppa Forest area in Cherla Mandal (administrative sub division) in Bhadradri Kothagudem District on Telangana, were unearthed on June 10, reports The Times of India. Special party teams along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), led by Cherla Police, unearthed the booby traps and recovered 4,396 iron spikes from the booby traps, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohith Raju. Due to improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and booby traps planted by Maoists in areas where tribals and animals roam, many lives have been lost and seriously injured in recent times. “Tribal people living in the border areas have been advised to be cautious,” urged the SP.
On June 9, the Police neutralised four landmines allegedly planted by the cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in the Veerabhadra Forest area under Venkatapuram Police limits in Mulugu District of Telangana, reports The Hans India. Three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found in burst condition, killing a pig and a domestic dog, the carcasses of which were found. The other unexploded landmine was defused by the Police.

The narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, and a small LED light and a black thread loop were also attached to the packet.
A wanted Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, identified as Kishor alias Mukesh Kannake (37), who was carrying a INR 200,000 reward on his head, surrendered before police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on June 10, reports The Times of India. After joining ‘Jan Militia’ (the people's army of the Maoists) as a member in 2014, Kannake quickly rose in the ranks and became the head of multiple Maoist factions like the Revolutionary People’s Council (RPC) and Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Majdoor Sangthan (DAKMS). He was involved in three encounters, four murders, setting multiple vehicles ablaze, planting explosives in forests, and propagating the Naxal [Left Wing Extremism, LWE] ideology. In a statement to the police, Kannake revealed that many senior Maoist leaders not only exploited the tribal youth but also misused funds. He added that many tribals were killed by their leaders, suspecting them to be ‘police informers’.
On 10 June, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police produced a chargesheet against four militants, identified as Mehnan Khan, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khanday alias Raju, Danish Ahmad Malla, and Arjumand Gulzar alias Hamza Burhan, an Al Badr militant, for the killing of a Police Constable in Hamdaniya Colony in Bemina area of Srinagar on 9 December 2023, reports the Daily Excelsior. Earlier, three of the accused were arrested by Srinagar Police on 17 December 2023. Hamza is still absconding.
On 7 June, National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a supplementary chargesheet under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act against seven more accused in the Attari narcotics haul case in the Court of ASJ/Special Judge/NDPS at Patiala House Court, New Delhi, reports NIA. Chargesheeted individuals, identified as Athar Saeed, Amritpal Singh, Avtar Singh, Harwinder Singh, Tahseem, Deepak Khurana, and Ahmad Farid, were involved in smuggling of drugs into India and their distribution across the country. They were also involved in channelling the proceeds from the drugs to the main accused persons based abroad. Earlier, the NIA had charge-sheeted four in the case in December 2022. The chargesheet pertains narco seizure in the month April 2022, when the Indian Customs Department seized a total of 103 kilograms of heroin (a narcotic substance), valued at INR 7 billion, in two instalments at ICP Attari in the Amritsar District of Punjab.
A Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist, identified as Sadiq alias Bilal alias Qari alias Afghani, who was involved in kidnapping and extortion of businessman, killed in an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) in the limits of Saeedabad Police Station in Keamari Town of Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, on June 10, reports Aaj News. The slain terrorist was an important member of TTP network in Karachi, the accused kidnapped a businessman named Haris-ur-Rehman on December 12, 2023. The Sadiq was also brainwashing youths for TTP in Karachi. A number of hand grenades and Kalashnikov were recovered from the possession of Sadiq. The Sadiq had strong links with a key ‘commander’ of TTP in Afghanistan. Faizan Ali, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Keamari Town, said in a press conference that the accused is a close associate of a terrorist named Ismatullah alias Masood of TTP and both were operating the network of TTP in Karachi.

Two Baloch students were reportedly enforced disappeared by Security Forces (SFs) from Barkhan District of Balochistan on June 4, reports The Balochistan Post. Haneef Baloch, a student and gold medalist in Social Work from Islamic University Bahawalpur, was detained in his native Barkhan District. His brother, Saeed Baloch, was also apprehended and taken to an undisclosed location after being called back from Lahore city of Punjab. The whereabouts of two brothers still unknown.

Two Baloch students were forcibly disappeared by Security Forces (SFs) from Sargodha District of Punjab on June 4, reports The Balochistan Post. SFs detained Danish, son of Iqbal, from Panjgur, Balochistan, and Farhad, son of Muhammad Tariq, from Dalbandin in Chagai District Balochistan. Both are students at the University of Sargodha. The whereabouts of two students still unknown.
Baloch students across various cities in Punjab and the federal capital, Islamabad, have been protesting against the enforced disappearances of their peers, calling for their immediate and safe return, The Balochistan Post reported on June 10. The Baloch Students Council have expressed deep concern over the recent rise in enforced disappearances in Balochistan, labelling such acts as inhumane and equating them to genocide. They stressed that Baloch human rights defenders, as well as social, political, and student activists, face dangers throughout Pakistan and Balochistan. They called for a unified stand against what they described as oppression. The protesters emphasized the urgent need to address the human rights crisis in Balochistan and the acceleration of enforced disappearances. They vowed to persist in their resistance against these violations until they cease.

During the fourth phase of the National five-day anti-polio vaccination drive on June 3-7 in Pakistan, 215,119 parents refused to vaccinate their children against polio, ARY News reported on June 10 quoting sources. According to sources, over 215,119 cases of refusal were reported, whereas 1,54,736 parents were convinced to vaccinate their children. In Sindh, 1,36,707 parents refused vaccination, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 56,252 parents refused. In Punjab, 1,502 parents refused, while in Balochistan, 19,654 parents refused. In Islamabad, 1,004 parents refused vaccination. It is to be noted here that the parents who refuse to vaccinate their children against polio will have to face jail term and fine as the Sindh Government has decided to take strict action against such guardians. The Provincial Government authorised deputy commissioners to take action against such parents under the Sindh Immunization and Epidemic Control Bill 2023. The parents who refuse to vaccinate their children will face a fine of PKR 50,000 and a one-month imprisonment. Parents who refuse to vaccinate their children will be identified by the health department and polio workers who will then take appropriate measures against them in coordination with the Police. In this context, the Sindh Police have been instructed to fully cooperate with the health department and polio workers.
