Further, one police personnel and a civilian were injured in a bomb explosion while attempting to defuse the bomb at Fatehpur Village Development Committee (VDC) area in Seeshaiya. According to Nepal News, the insurgents fired indiscriminately at the bus, killing six Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) soldiers, an Armed Police Force official and six passengers. Security forces had gone to the area to remove barriers laid on the highway by the Maoists.
