MoD in a released statement said that ANDSF backed by Air support launched the clearance operation in the District in which massive premises under the Taliban have been cleared and an AK47, a PK machine gun, and two motorbikes belonging to the group were seized. On March 16, unidentified gunman killed three Security Force (SF) personnel, who were assigned to protect the Pashdan dam, in Karokh District of Herat Province, reports Tolo News. Head of the Pashdan dam, Mohammad Arif Achakzai, told Tolo News that the Taliban attacked an outpost far from the dam. He said the outpost has a lot of distance from the surrounding wall of the dam. The Provincial Governor Waheed Qatali said that Taliban launched attacks on security outposts in Farsi, Gulran and Adraskan Districts of Herat.
