On April 27 (today), two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel identified as Sub-Inspector N Sarkar and Head Constable Arup Saini were killed while two others identified as Inspector Jadav Das and Constable Aftab Hussain sustained injuries in an attack by suspected Kuki militants in Naransena area under the jurisdiction of the Moirang Police station in Bishnupur District of Manipur, reports India TodayNE andNDTV. Sources stated that a group of militants opened gunfire from a hillside in Naransena village towards the valley region, targeting a central security force (SF) post. The bomb, fired by the armed groups, fell and exploded inside the outpost of B/128 Bn CRPF at Naransena, causing severe injuries to four personnel. Two of them later succumbed to their injuries.
