Security Forces (SFs) arrested top Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) ‘commander’, identified as Rajendra Bhuiyan, in Palamu District of Jharkhand on April 27 (today), reports etvbharat.com. Four weapons have also been recovered from Bhuiyan. Police and security agencies had received information that Rajendra may carry out some incidents during the Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Indian Parliament) elections, following which the Palamu Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) team jointly started the search operation in the border areas of Hussainabad, Chhatarpur, Pandu, and Haidernagar of Palamu. Bhuiyan was arrested during the search operation. Rajendra is very close to Maoist commander Nitish Yadav, carrying a reward of INR 1 million, and is an important member of his squad.
