An Awami National Party (ANP) local leader, Malik Abdul Ghani Khan, was killed and two others, including his son were injured when unidentified motorcyclists ambushed his car in Haji Lawang area of Bajaur District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) at about 5pm on June 21, reports Dawn. Malik Abdul Ghani Khan along with his son was going to his home in Mata Shah area of Salarzai tehsil (revenue unit) after attending a party meeting in Khar when unidentified motorcyclists ambushed his car. Malik Abdul Ghani was a member of the ANP’s provincial working committee. His son, identified as Shah Khalid (30), was president of ANP’s Salarzai tehsil chapter. No one claimed responsibility for the attack.
