On April 23, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested the seventh key accused, identified as Tahseem alias Mota, in the 2022 Attari border narcotics haul case, reports Hindustan Times. Earlier, the Customs Department recovered a total of 103 kilograms of heroin in April 2022 after it was smuggled into India from Afghanistan through the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at the Attari border in the Amritsar District of Punjab.
On April 23, police arrested an associate of a Pakistan-based terror module, identified as Lovepreet Singh alias Picho, and recovered one.30-bore automatic Chinese pistol along with a magazine and four live cartridges in the area of Rama Mandi in Jalandhar District of Punjab, reports Hindustan Times. The Director General of Police (DGP), Gaurav Yadav, said that the accused was tasked with carrying out target killings and creating fear and unrest in Jammu and Kashmir.
