Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, identified as Dilip Motiram Pendam (34), carrying a INR 150, 000 bounty on his head, was arrested in the Bhamragad region while suspiciously wandering among villages and woodlands in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on April 23, reports mid-day.com. Pendam is suspected of several crimes, including laying a fatal claymore mine and two pressure cooker bombs in Nelgunda-Gongwada and Laheri in March 2023, to attack Security Forces (SFs) personnel and steal their guns and ammunitions. Pendam is also accused of assisting other hardline Maoist factions in the region by organising logistics and ration supplies, as well as distributing propaganda literature to the local population.
